August 03, 2011: CCNTR to set to receive a $5,000.00 award from the Division of Public Health Services, Immunization Program in conjunction with their Medical Reserve Corps Unit #1565 to provide childhood flu shots for the upcoming 2012 school year.

August 01, 2011: View photo's of the official opening of the 8.5 mile Northern Rail Trail in Danbury on July 31, 2011. Congratulations to all those who have worked tirelessly bringing this alternate transportation and recreation to our region. Managing Director Rick Silverberg, H.E.A.L. Coordinator Liz Lawrence, and Public Health Network Coordinator Jim Richardson represented CCNTR.

May 18, 2011: Richard Silverberg, Managing Director of CCNTR wishes to express his congratulations to Public Health Network Coordinator James Richardson in his recent completion of a year long program at the Manchester Public Health Institute. Jim completed all five programs from Disease Surveillance, Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Public Health Preparedness, and Communicable Disease Investigation.

CCNTR receives two year Public Health Network Grant
Managing Director Rick Silverberg is pleased to announce that the Caring Community Network of the Twin Rivers has received a two year grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health Services. This grant was previously awarded to Health First Family Care Center as the fiscal agent. During the past twelve months CCNTR and it's board have filed for and were approved Federal 501c3 status. The grant runs through June 30, 2012 and funds the Public Health Network Coordinators position currently held by Jim Richardson.
